Available for 30 minute consultations:
The Enneagram
The opportunity is available for small groups or individuals who know their Enneagram number to receive consultation and direction; or for others seeking introductory information about this ancient spiritual tool. Suzanne Stabile is an Enneagram Master who is sought after both nationally and internationally. She is the co-founder of Life in the Trinity Ministry in Dallas, Texas; a ministry that focuses on spiritual formation through the teaching and practice of the classical spiritual disciplines. LTM is a place for solitary work that cannot be done alone.
Spiritual direction is available on a free, sign-up basis. All are welcome and invited. Sessions will last 30 minutes and are a safe, confidential place to think out loud about what you hear at Christianity21 and how it resonates with your own faith system.
Kathryn Green is a graduate of Christos Center for Spiritual Direction and holds a Masters in Human Development from St. Mary's, Minnesota.
Mark Patrick is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice and also a pastor and spiritual director.
Natural avenues of diet, supplements, and exercise can greatly improve one's quality of life and complement traditional medicine in treating issues of weight, digestion, energy, headaches, lethary, and chronic pain.
Shelley Pagitt has been a natural coach for many years and she is pursuing certification in Holistic Nutrition.
Sexuality and intimacy are issues that affect all of us, but are rarely talked about. At C21, we will offer a confidential, safe environment for you to talk to a trained sex counselor.
Becky Knight will be available for consultations regarding sex and intimacy concerns. She provides information on a wide range of issues, as well as suggest appropriate next steps, resources and referrals. Becky's passions include women's sexual health, helping parents talk to their kids about healthy sexuality, and advising communities on how to address sexuality in a holistic manner.
Professional Development and Job Seeking Coach:
At any time, and particularly in these economic times, issues of work and vocation perplex us and can even shape our own self identities. At C21, you'll have the opportunity to sit with a job transition expert and talk through your current work-life issues. Also, individuals and teams can work with a consultant on how their churches and ministries go about searches for personnel.
Rick Heltne is a senior consultant of Ministry by Design, a division of SIMA International, who specializes in national executive-level searches for churches and faith-based non-profit organizations.
Also Offered:
Each morning and afternoon yoga will be offered (times available at check-in). Various styles and types of yoga will be explored. Yoga beginners are welcome!
If you're interested in what it takes to get published, or if you've got an idea you'd like to bounce off an editor, we'll have a group publishing seminar, and opportunities for 30-minute consultations with editors and publishers.
Book Exchange:
Got lots of books? Want to unload them and grab some new ones? We'll have a book exchange table (leave-one, take-one). All sorts of books are welcome.
Music:
We'll have music by Heatherlyn, a Twin Cities based acoustic, folk-rock, singer-songwriter. She believes art and music connect with people below the surface and can lead us into deeper, meaningful conversation about the change we can become in a world of uncertainty. Her hope is to inspire a vision of a world where peace and equity are commonplace, and to see people realize their own unique potential for positive transformation. Heatherlyn and her husband, Jason, will also be leading a lunch discussion on the music industry.
Guerilla Art Project:
Whether you consider yourself an artist or not, you are. So, suck it up, embrace it, and join with others who appreciate the new perspectives creative process gives us and the unsuspecting places it takes us. Over lunch we'll discuss how art/ritual/creative acts spice up our individual spiritual lives. Afterwards we'll take brief walk and create a surprise collaborative public art piece in a yet-to-be-determined hiding place in suburban Minnesota. Led by Courtney Perry.
Bliss and Sweat :: the Alternative
Road of an Independent Artist
Heatherlyn and Jason are husband and wife of 6 years and have also been business partners for half their marriage in the ever-evolving world of independent music. Heatherlyn is song-artist, poet, presenter and businesswoman. Jason is production and logistical guru, support, everything else. Navigating the dynamic interplay of artistry, business, relationship and spirituality is their constant challenge and dance down this alternative road. They seek to continually discover, live into and pave their own way of vocation, believing that all of life is about partnering in God's sweaty and blissful movement of love throughout the whole world. Whatever God-given gift, voice and dream you have, it's ALL CREATIVE. You ARE indeed God's gift to the world. Your voice is all about breathing beauty and being as co-creators with the Initial Sacred Voice. Your dream-coming-true is a small and significant part of the cosmic dream coming into full being. Join Heatherlyn and Jason in round-table conversation. They intend and are sure they will learn much from you.
